Fendt Farmer Hydraulic System Leaking Oil
Seal Oil Leaks Effectively During Operation

With Fendt Farmer models, oil-moist control units, dripping hydraulic connections, or pressure loss within the system are a well-known issue. Typical causes include O-rings, shaft seals, control units, or lift cylinders. In particular, rubber and polymer seals lose their elasticity over time due to aging, pressure, and temperature and no longer provide a proper seal.

With LecWec, you can restore the functionality of these seals directly during operation without dismantling control units, the hydraulic lift, or hydraulic lines.

How LecWec Works in Fendt Farmer Hydraulic Systems

In the hydraulic systems of Fendt Farmer series tractors, polymer seals such as O-rings, shaft seals, and sealing lips are used in control units, hydraulic blocks, and lift cylinders. Due to decades of operation, pressure peaks, and temperature, these seals lose their plasticizers over time. They become hard, shrink, and lose their sealing performance. This is exactly where LecWec takes effect during normal operation.

After being added, LecWec circulates through the hydraulic oil and reaches all relevant sealing points within the system – including internal areas inside the control block or regulating valve. The active formula is absorbed by the polymer seals and helps restore their original properties. The material becomes flexible again and fits tightly against the sealing surfaces. This closes the typical leakage gaps.

In practical use, this means that oil loss is significantly reduced or stopped, provided the cause is aged seals. Mechanically damaged components or worn piston rods remain unaffected.

"I did not believe it at first, but your product is excellent! [...] I ordered just one can and everything is sealed already, even though you recommend 2 cans, meaning 200 ml, for 6 liters of oil. Many thanks!"

"...which made it even more satisfying when, after around 3 weeks, I noticed that the oil loss had gone down to zero – the steering rack was sealed again!! Even now, after 4 months, the reservoir is still at the maximum level."

"There was always a small puddle of oil collecting underneath the vehicle. I added 100 ml of LecWec to around 4 liters of oil. Since then, I have driven many miles and was surprised to find that there was no more oil on the ground at all."

How to Seal a Fendt Farmer Hydraulic System in 3 Steps

If your hydraulic system is leaking oil, this is usually noticeable through oil-moist control units, oil drops at hydraulic lines, or reduced lifting power. In many cases, aged O-rings or shaft seals inside the system are the cause. Instead of dismantling components immediately, you can address the issue directly within the system.

Step 1: Check the hydraulic oil level and roughly identify the leak location (for example control unit, hydraulic lift, or connections).
Step 2: Add LecWec directly to the hydraulic oil at a ratio of 3% of the total oil volume.
Step 3: Operate the tractor normally – activate the hydraulic functions multiple times so the additive circulates throughout the entire system.

The polymer seals absorb the active formula, become flexible again, and fit tightly against the sealing surfaces once more. This reduces or stops oil leaks at typical Farmer weak points. You avoid unnecessary disassembly and keep the tractor fully operational.

Fendt Farmer hydraulic leak? These 5 tips can help

Check typical Farmer leak points
Control valves, lift cylinders, and threaded connections are among the most common causes. Clean the hydraulic system thoroughly and observe it during operation.

Consider hydraulic pressure
Continuous heavy loads or pressure spikes place additional stress on seals. Check operating conditions and hydraulic settings.

Inspect control valves and hydraulic regulation system
Leaks often occur around valve blocks or regulation valves. Inspect these areas carefully.

Regenerate seals specifically
The Fendt Farmer hydraulic system uses many O-rings and radial shaft seals that harden over time. This is exactly where LecWec can restore sealing performance.

Use LecWec correctly and monitor the results
Add LecWec at 3% of the oil volume and continue operating the hydraulic system normally. Then monitor all sealing points. In many cases, the oil leak is significantly reduced or completely stopped.

Questions and Answers about LecWec

How does LecWec work?
Replacing a leaking oil seal is usually not a cheap repair. If an entire component has to be replaced, the costs become even higher. Since 1995, LecWec has provided a permanent solution for polymer oil seals — without dismantling or replacing components and without high labor or repair costs. LecWec is suitable not only for vehicles, but for all oil systems and nearly all oil types. Over time, polymer oil seals lose their plasticizers, become brittle, and shrink. LecWec impregnates the seal and replaces the lost plasticizers. The seal becomes flexible again and swells slightly — just enough to compensate for wear at the sealing lip.
3How much LecWec do I need for Fendt Farmer hydraulics?
The required amount depends on the total oil capacity of the hydraulic system. The dosage is exactly 3% of the oil volume. For a Fendt Farmer with 25 liters of hydraulic oil, this equals 750 ml of LecWec. The additive is poured directly into the hydraulic tank and circulates through the entire system during operation. This allows LecWec to reach internal sealing points inside control valves and hydraulic cylinders.
How long does LecWec take to work?
LecWec requires a certain activation time during normal operation. After adding the product, the hydraulic system should be operated several times so the additive can circulate throughout the system. Depending on the condition of the seals, it may take several operating hours to several days before a noticeable improvement appears.
How long does the effect of LecWec last?
The effect of LecWec is designed for long-term sealing performance. Once fully activated, the sealing effect usually remains stable for years, provided the seals are still structurally intact.
3How reliably does LecWec stop oil leaks?
LecWec works reliably when oil leaks are caused by aged or hardened seals. A significant improvement is often seen especially with O-rings and sealing lips in hydraulic systems.
3When does LecWec not work?
The effect is limited in cases of mechanical damage such as scored cylinder rods, damaged hydraulic lines, or worn hydraulic pumps. In these situations, mechanical repair is necessary.
3Do I need to dismantle the Fendt hydraulic system for LecWec?
No. LecWec is added directly to the hydraulic oil and works during normal operation. Dismantling pumps, control valves, or hydraulic lines is not necessary as long as the oil leak is caused by aged seals.
5Does LecWec also help with older Fendt Farmer models?
Yes. Especially on older Fendt Farmer tractors, O-rings, sealing lips, and shaft seals often become hardened or shrink over time. LecWec restores the elasticity of these seals and can reduce typical leaks around control valves, hydraulic connections, and hydraulic components.
6Does LecWec help with the rear lift and hydraulic cylinders?
Yes. LecWec can help with leaks around the rear lift system and hydraulic cylinders if the cause is aged seals or O-rings. In cases of mechanical damage such as scored piston rods or worn components, the effect is limited.
6Can LecWec also be used preventively?
Yes. LecWec can also be used preventively to keep seals flexible over the long term. Especially on machines with many operating hours or long periods of inactivity, it helps prevent seals from drying out and becoming brittle. For preventive use, a reduced dosage of 1.5% of the oil volume is recommended. This keeps the seals elastic and significantly reduces the risk of future leaks.
Can LecWec damage the engine or transmission?
No. LecWec is designed to fully blend with the existing oil without affecting lubrication performance. It does not attack metal components and does not alter tolerances within the system. Bearings, gears, and other components remain unaffected. LecWec works exclusively on the seals inside the system. When used correctly at the recommended dosage of 3% of the oil volume, LecWec has no negative effect on the function of the engine, transmission, or hydraulic system.
