On the Deutz D40.1, oil leaks around the engine, gearbox or hydraulic system are common after many decades of use. With LecWec, you can seal these typical weak points directly during operation with an almost 100 % success rate. The additive works specifically on aged polymer seals and restores them to a properly sealed condition – without dismantling components.
✓Oil leak stop for typical D40.1 leaks
✓Oil stop additive for engine oil, gearbox and hydraulic systems
✓Oil sealing additive without chlorine
✓Seal engine and gearbox leaks without removal
In the Deutz D40.1 and similar Deutz engines, the engine, gearbox and hydraulic system mainly use polymer oil seals. Over the years, these seals lose elasticity due to temperature changes, pressure and aging. The result: the sealing lip no longer sits correctly against the surface, leading to oil film buildup or visible oil loss at typical points such as the crankshaft, PTO shaft or housing connections. This is exactly where LecWec works during normal operation.
After being added, LecWec distributes completely throughout the oil system and reaches all important sealing points inside the system. The active ingredient is absorbed by the seals and helps the material become flexible, supple and tightly sealing once again. This closes the tiny gaps between the seal and the metal surface. The effect is not limited to one single area, but works throughout the entire system, allowing even hard-to-reach or internal seals to be treated reliably.
In practical use on the Deutz D40.1, this means that oil leaks from the engine, gearbox or hydraulic system are greatly reduced or stopped completely without dismantling components. Especially on older Deutz machines with difficult-to-access sealing points, LecWec does not permanently replace mechanical repair work, but it restores the sealing function of the existing components and allows continued reliable operation without oil loss.
"I have to report positively that the level matches the oil... unbelievable. [...] I wouldn’t have believed that the steering gearbox would be sealed again after just under a week."

"...nothing was leaking anymore!!!
I am truly very satisfied. At first, I did not believe the product would work, but now I am completely convinced and also saved many hundreds of euros!"

Oil leak at the cylinder base gasket
Verified review (Learn more)"I did not believe it at first, but your product is excellent! [...] I ordered just one can and everything is sealed already, even though you recommend 2 cans, meaning 200 ml, for 6 liters of oil. Many thanks!"

Oil leak problems at the oil flange gasket
Verified review (Learn more)"...which made it even more satisfying when, after around 3 weeks, I noticed that the oil loss had gone down to zero – the steering rack was sealed again!! Even now, after 4 months, the reservoir is still at the maximum level."

Oil leak at the steering rack
Verified review (Learn more)"There was always a small puddle of oil collecting underneath the vehicle. I added 100 ml of LecWec to around 4 liters of oil. Since then, I have driven many miles and was surprised to find that there was no more oil on the ground at all."

Leak at the oil pan
Verified review (Learn more)On the Deutz D40.1, the problem is well known: oil film on the engine block, oil drops under the gearbox or wet spots around the hydraulic system. In most cases, the cause is aged polymer oil seals that have hardened or shrunk over the years. Instead of immediately replacing shaft seals or opening the gearbox, you can treat the problem directly during operation and restore the sealing function.
Step 1: Check the oil level in the affected system and know the exact oil capacity.
Step 2: Add LecWec at a ratio of 3 % of the oil volume directly into the engine, gearbox or hydraulic system.
Step 3: Operate the tractor normally – the additive distributes throughout the entire system and also reaches internal sealing points.
The seals absorb the active ingredients, become flexible again and fit properly against the sealing surfaces. This stops the oil leak exactly where repairs would otherwise require major effort. You avoid dismantling the engine or gearbox and quickly bring your Deutz D40.1 back into a sealed and reliable operating condition.
Know the Typical Weak Points on Deutz Tractors
On Deutz tractors, leaks usually occur around the crankshaft, valve cover, gearbox output shaft, PTO shaft and hydraulic connections. Clean the affected areas thoroughly and let the tractor run briefly. This allows you to identify exactly where the oil is leaking instead of replacing parts unnecessarily.
Check Oil Level and System Condition Carefully
An oil level that is too high or contaminated oil can cause seals to leak more quickly. Check the engine oil, gearbox oil and hydraulic oil exactly according to specifications. Clean operating conditions help existing seals function properly again.
Treat Aged Seals Directly
Most Deutz tractors use polymer oil seals. Over time, these seals harden and lose their sealing ability. Instead of dismantling everything immediately, you can restore flexibility directly within the system and bring the seals back to working condition.
Use LecWec During Normal Operation
Add LecWec at a ratio of 3 % of the oil volume to the affected system. The active ingredients circulate throughout the oil system and reach all sealing points. Even internal areas are treated without opening the engine or gearbox.
Monitor the Results and Maintain the Seal
After application, continue operating the tractor normally and observe the known leak points. In practice, the affected areas often become dry or significantly tighter. If necessary, an additional treatment can stabilize the effect and help keep the Deutz leak-free for the long term.
